Chapter 2: Big Gopher and the Sneaky Snake Steal Hard-Earned Wages

Sneaky Snake and Big Gopher feel no sorrow,

They lie and they cheat like there's no tomorrow. 

Two cowardly marshmallows spewing forth bile,

They play their game with a sinister smile.

A moral compass is something that they're without,

Any sense of decency they always manage to flout.

For they thought sincerely they were wise old sages,

When they stole the Brave Little Lecturer's wages!

His wages he earned through sweat and strain,

But now they were lost to university gain!

And the gopher and snake, they had no remorse,

For they love to torment the faculty workforce.

With their ill-gotten-gains and not a care,

No worry at all for a legal snare;

Sneaky Snake and Big Gopher, telling bold lies,

Slither and scurry off, laughing, with their prize.

The Brave Little Lecturer, never deterred, 

Thought this ought not to be the last word.

To Big Gopher he explained the policy and law,

In hopes that Big Gopher's evil heart would thaw. 

Yet it did not work, no, not one jot, 

For Big Gopher had really lost the plot. 

He danced and he sang to a disco ditty, 

Towards the Brave Little Lecturer, he had no pity.

"Go boil your head," Big Gopher did sneer,

"Your wages are ours, and that much is clear."

The lecturer, stunned by the brazen reply,

Knew quickly he had to find an ally.

The Brave Little Lecturer sought help from Big Bark,

The State Attorney-General, an alleged legal shark.

But Big Bark was a joke, a disappointment true,

He backed the university, through and through.

Big Bark, Attorney-General so bold and so grand,

Was all bark and no bite, a cowardly stand;

When he chose to back the university faction,

Leaving the lecturer with no helpful action.

And this even though another state agency, 
Told the Brave Lecturer, lacking complacency,

That policy and law were on his side, 
But alas 'twas in vain, for justice was denied.

So injustice prevailed, the lecturer's plight,

Ignored by those who should have done right. 

They took the path that was unjust, 

And failed to uphold the public trust.

OUR STORY CONTINUES, IT'S FAR FROM THE END, 

FOR INJUSTICE IS BECOMING QUITE A TREND!

NEXT UP IS WORSE THAN A VIRAL OUTBREAK,

IT'S THE SAD, SORID STORY OF SNEAKY SNAKE!
